Eddie O' Grady BSc. (hons.) is a Physical Therapist based centrally in Castlewood Park, Killerisk, Tralee, Co.Kerry (also at John Street, Dingle). He holds a degree in Physical Therapy from the ''Institute of Physical Therapy'' in Dublin. This is an internationally recognised degree and is the only degree course of its kind in Ireland at present. Its graduates specialise in very specific areas of treatment and as a result are often extremely knowledgeable and experienced in those areas. Treatment techniques used include massage, myofascial work, trigger point release, cross fibre friction, muscle energy techniques, mobilisations, pin and stretch, positional release, active release, dry needling, electro-acupuncture to name but a few. Individually tailored home strengthening and stretching exercises are given as standard with treatments. This is essential for full recovery and to reduce the risk of re-injury. Treatment visits may last up to one hour, are intense and full hands-on.
A former Irish Powerlifting Champion and record holder, Eddie has suffered many injuries himself in the past due to his heavy training schedule, and as a result is passionate about giving the best, most up to date treatment and advice possible.
